Rocking Dog- Light Color Stain

This beautiful rocking dog, made of 100% re-purposed pallet lumber, was created by inmates at Stanley Correctional Institution.

They opted to use only hardwood to make it durable and take the abuse a toddler will give it.

The rocking dog was made with no pattern. Instead, the inmates free hand drew some ideas and transferred them to cardboard to give themselves templates to use.

They shaped and mill curved, cracked and twisted material into this work of art. This rocking dog has about 80 to 100 man hours in it with all of the work they do.

We think it is absolutely beautiful.
